I wish you the best of luck bro. And I definitely miss you already. It's too bad we ain't gonna be close for the summer. I love you "b".

But enough of that crap, right?

So good to hear you and Jill are doing good. Me and Bristol are rocking away. She's definitely a keeper and I told julie I don't see an end in site at this point. She's amazing, we work well together, I'm losening up 'round her a bit more which is good. You gotta give the girls "crazy J" in doses ya know.

Oh so b...you weren't here so you don't know, but I have a funny drug test story to tell you. BTW we should call eachother once a week and talk I think.

I got tested for drugs for my work. I took the bottle into the bathroom and I couldn't go pee. So they were like "okay wait in the wiating room and drink water" so I did. And I'm in there drinking so much water that I start to feel sick (cause I had no food in my stomach). And I think to myself , man I don't wanna be in this waiting room all day. So I convince myself I feel enough of an urge that I can go. I get up and go to take the test again...go in the bathroom and CANT GO AGAIN. This is embarassing. CEO's son all dressed up - can't go pee. So finally I wait till I really have to go badly and because of some legal issue (it being the third try and all). A doctor from the first floor had to come up and physically WATCH ME pee. like watch the whole process..in to the bathroom...watching my junk. Okay so yeah, I have more to type but bristol is coming over...peace out.

Having Dani and her friend emily in town this weekend was nice. I think they had a good time. We went to class, went to the mall and pedmall, saw spiderman, went out, went frisbee golfing (frolfing), and more. It was fanasterificdoodle.

I'm gonna watch some Voyager episodes now and put off my paper a little longer.

Also sam got someone to sublet his place, even though I made some flyers etc. And I was saying to him if we only get one person he shouldn't get all the savings off of it, I mean the guy will be using my furniture and stuff too, and it's not like he did any work to get the guy. It just so happens TK has a friend who needed a sublet. Sam is frustrating sometimes. Oh I had a long conversation with bristol on friday and it was great. I really like her. We'll see what happens this summer. Peace out.

Hi Fam,
O.K., I had this absolutely fantastic time visiting the boys in Ioway. I just love my kids. It was nice to have a little one on one time with each of them and alot of time with them(you guys) together. I just need a fix every now and then, ya know?
Life is busy. Trying to get cheerleading up and running for next year. Managing Spoonful, which I am not sure I am doing that great a job, being a mom to Julie, wife to guess who, ROCK which seems to be going down the tubes, and SNL which is status quo(although the last one was awesome. the speaker fanstastic.), trying to excercise and look beautiful, fixing up the yard, doing laundry, paying the bills, etc. etc. etc. I know what your are thinking (piss and moan, piss and moan) mom's complaining again. I am really not. Just wondering how I am going to get it all done? Was sick and felt absolutely crappy yesterday(thanks Jase for the bug). Today, feel great. The sun was shining and it was actually warm!!!! Praise the Lord! Well, gotta go. Love ya all, but you know that. Mom
Man dead blog dead blog. GET ON THE BLOG NOW EVERYONE. I think jeff may be right, because our immediate fam is so pathetic (including myself) we may have to open this up to extended family. Let me know what you think. Remember blogs only work if you check it daily and post like every other day just bout or maybe a little less, but close.

Mom rocks! As does the rest of the fam. But I give mom props on this day for coming down to see us. I had fun! It was good to see her...other fam. members should take her queu . No I know Dad is da man of rockford and busy up the wazoo and that's gravy, and I know julie is busy being a rambunctious teen as per usual. But hey guys, mom's busy too! hehe. Thx again mom for all the spoonful work.

I had a hectic week but a great weekend so it worked out. Saw Aaron (blast), Dan (blast), and Mom (blast) and then had to scramble to do a comp sci project and prepare a bible study for my growth group (which went very well).

I'll see you all this weekend...praise God.

Hey, all right, got 3 of us doing this thing now. Amazing. prom is May 11th right before your exams. I don't think you will be coming home. Mark seems to be a nice guy. It should be fine. Anyway, looks like I am coming down tomorrow, Monday to see the boys. I am really looking forward to this. I will meet you at the student union at 2:30. We'll do lunch. Julie found a neat dress and shoes for prom today. A little boy sitting next to me (2nd grader) saw Jules show me the dress at the store and goes wooow! is she getting married. It was cute. Guess you woulda had to a been there. Life is busy, SNL, ROCK, Cheerleading, Spoonful stuff, bills, running the house, going to julies games etc. etc. etc. Well, i will blog after my trip to IOWA. Love ya all, Mom

Wow, holy Blog Batman! It's going on again in the BlogHouse. ah yeah, finaum mina ah yeah. The Blog Spot, Blog Central.

Julie + Prom + Sr. = AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

No I'm sure you'll be fine Julie. I can't believe your already gonna partake in the Sr. walk, is it still gonna be special when you take it for real at the end of your High School career. Do I know this guy? Would I approve? :)

Anywho I'd be happy to be home for it. What's the weekend?

I finally talked to JENNY yesterday...it was grand! It had been like 2 months.

So Howdy,
How is it going? Nothing much to report. Went to talk with Pastor Joe today. Not sure about the outcome yet.
I wonder about SNL and if it is really going to grow. Is it worth the effort. We started it so that kids would have a service they may relate to but few kids come. How can we change that? Will it change? I don't know. I keep praying for God's hand in this.
Julie got asked to prom by Mark Buddin(sp) so I want both you boys home to see here off and make sure he understands that he better behave and take care of her. We have to go gown shopping now. That should be fun.
I think I am going down to see you boys sometime next week. I will let you know. Hope it is all right?!?
I love you all. PLEASE BLOG!!!! Love, Mom

Wednesday, April 17, 2002

Yes so this blog has officially disappated, but I'm not giving up yet. Because it was going for awhile and it's such a good bonding tool. I was seeing a new side of MOM and JEFF lol. Dad and julie and jennie were pretty much non existant. So speaking of jenny it has been SOOOO long since we last talked...sadly long (did anyone notice i spelled jennIE then jennY...wierd).

I've been semi-stressed with the notion that Brent may now have an opportunity to leave spoonfuljc and join an already touring band! That will make 3 members who were scouted, picked up, whatever. Sucketh. If he leaves it is over. But I trust!

School sux. Just cause its spring. Plus my teachers this semester are just TERRIBLE, and its effecting my enjoyment of the classes and my grades. I think I'm looking at more B's this semester...however, that's what I said last semester too and ended up pulling off a good score...who knew. We'll see.

Wow, I just realized I was typing this in the Good Game friend blog...thank goodness I realized it and cut and pasted it into this one. Phewsh.

"Damn the Man, save the " Blog (almost a direct quote from Empire Records.

I just realized I really want those STar Trek DVD collections they are coming out w/ slowly. And/or the Best of SNL dvd's would be good too!
and or everything under the sun.lol

So is anyone else beside Jason and me going to write on this?

Monday, April 01, 2002

Yeah so I'm back in IC and it's SNOWING TODAY...ah I could shoot...i could shoot....the snow? Anyway. Na it's cool, no big thang. Someone once told me praying for the weather is one of the most selfish things you can pray for cause it effects so many different people and you never can tell the reason behind it since so many people are involved.

Yeah so it was really akward riding back w/ alex last night. I take that back it wasn't akward until she brout up bill and her having issues and dealing with the long distance thing. And then there was a bunch of silence cause jeff and I didn't know what to say or do. And then I tried to offer up something to relate and the only thing I could think of was Karin's relationship w/ that navy dood. And it was just downhill and wierd. It wasn't TERRIBLE but definitely not the conversation I'd have expected. She's wierd.

So I have to study for a test that I'm taking on Wednesday wish me luck I'm really worried bout it.

jason

Hi - so yeah
So I have been an adult delinquent on this blog. I really like it though. I seem to be busy with stuff lately. Going to pick up lunch at MM and take out to Katy Stenberg today. She had knee surgery and is cooped up for awhile. Stopped by Charlottes house today. I was in the neighborhood. She wasn't home. I think about her alot, wondering how she is. It would be neat to have lunch with her maybe Sat. what do you think? It is so good to keep those connections going. Even if it is a long time in between.

So, I wish I had a funny joke to tell so that you can laugh outloud while your reading this. Screw it. I don't.

Been down about ROCK and SNL again lately. I seem to go through cycles of that. Only 17 kids came last night. Good group though. Alot of the older ones go to First Assembly now. I miss them. I miss seeing them. I love the connection with all of them. Then I got and e-mail today from Steve Dickey telling me how great he feels when he leaves ROCK and how he loves the messages that he gets there. That helped. God talks through others, don't he.

Looking forward to Jeff and Jase coming home again. Miss seeing Jenny. The circle seems so much more complete when we are together. I know it is always there, but I love the renewal. It is like a shot in the arm of love, commitment and caring. It feels good.

Well, be careful coming home boys.

Love you all - yo momma

Monday, March 25, 2002

Yeah, this blog has been dead, but probably with good reason since I've been home and Jeff couldn't really post over break. So no biggy lez pick it up shall we?

I had a great break. I would have liked to have done more family stuff. But that kind of stuff really needs to be scheduled, and sometimes we ain't good at that. I still had a great break though. I only got to sleep in like two mornings which I think is a testiment to a great break.

So today I was running to the pentacrest. I only ran like a block up hill and when I got into class and sat down my chest was pounding so hard it was visible. I need to start jogging, that just ain't good. On that note...Parents can be thinking bout getting me a cheap treadmill for the summer and next year in my new house (for my b-day)!

Thx mom for the gifts by the WAY!!! You are a constent model of generosity for me.

I'm gonna go play counterstrike with dan mcmahon now...peace.

jason

That's right, and anyone passing by could join them in the hell of being cut to pieces (Jeff I botched this cause I'm not really sure what he says). Chinese have a lot of hell.

Anywho, I'm coming home this weekend. Mom sorry I sounded short earlier. I got no sleep last night, in fact I got about 1:30-2:00. What happened was, I found out I had this assignment do that I didn't know I had do. On the webpage the assignment is there but NOWHERE does it says the DUE DATE on the webpage. I mean no where! So I missed like one class and therefore didn't know till last minute (luckly I know people er something). So I worked on that till like 3:30am and then (probably irrationally) thought that I had to get up at 7:00am anyway and at that point I would probably feel better just staying up. Well my plan was going good till bout like 6:00 when I just died and gave up and slept bout 1:30. I feel awake now, I had only a slight nap today.

For that assignment I had to write a program in ML which is a functional programming language. This means nothing to any of you, but you may be able to relate to me on this note. ML relies heavily on recursion. You did recursion in math and its a really strange, uncomfortable way of thinking. Recursion is when a function calls itself. Like: F(x)=2+F(x-1) and stuff. But thats like not major. Here's one of the harder functions I had to program last night:

fun powerset s =
if (null s) then [[]]
else if ((length s)=1) then [[],s]
else
let fun powersetAUX (frnt,rst) =
(map (fn ob => [frnt]@ob) (powerset(rst)))
in
powersetAUX((hd s),(tl s))@powerset(tl s)
end;

try and guess how that works....yeah yeah yeah. It returns the powerset of a list. Powerset of [1,2]=[(),(1),(2),(1,2)] It's basically all combinations. Okay so anyway enough with my math lesson and griping. Cause Spring Break "is only a day away". I will see you all TOMORROW!!

I love you all,
PS I'm down w/ the reschke invite...but maybe we should give this a bit more time, before we do that...dunno I like the idea of being able to discuss things just our family. But I could dig. the rest of the fam too. We SHALL discuss it :). And as usual mom you were very insightful on the alex's sis's fiance thing. I agree.

in Christ,
jason

Wednesday, March 13, 2002

You're right Jase. This is such a great idea. I wish that more people would write. Should we open it up to the Reschke's?
About Alex. I am glad you have the dialogue thing going. That is a good thing. About her sister's fiance - unbelievable. I feel so badly for her and his family. It will take a long time to get over. My cousin, who is my age lost her fiance in a car accident when she was in her 20's. She did not want to marry at all after that. She actually found her husband now when she was around 35. Had her 1 and only child at 40. Life does go on.
You remember the monument to one of Barb's cousins at the cottage. He died in a plane crash leaving a wife and 2 kids. His wife has found someone else to share her lf with after 3 years. I have heard it told that it is harder when you are not married yet and do not have children. The reason - you never had that chance to build a life together or have a family together. I can see this point. I pray that Alex's sister will find comfort in the time they did have together. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Love, Mom

Monday, March 11, 2002

So this blog site has already kinda died. It must be added to and updated...GO FAM GO FAM I know you can do it!

I actually have a sad post. I've been talking to alex lately (that's not the sad part). And I just found out today her sister's fiance DIED! I don't know the specifics, because at this point in our relationship I didn't feel I'm prevy to them. So I just spent a few moments talking to her and said that I was an open ear if she wanted to use it and that I wouldn't bother her the rest of the night. She thanked me.

But I just got to thinking how much that would suck. You finally find that person, you think you got the Love thing fig. out with that person and bam. Alex said "God's got a master plan" and I agree with her, but I also sympathized by saying "it's not always easy, and it can be very painful and confusing."

I'll miss the way he used to always get himself hit by baseballs, footballs, frisbees and whatever else we might be tossing in the back yard.
